It was another great day with your students. I am enjoying our new class so much.

Tonight your students have homework in math working on telling time on an analog clock. For some of your students this will be a challenging exercise but we need to practice it.

I wanted to clarify the spelling words that came home yesterday. That is a copy for your students to practice at home. They do not have "specific" homework to turn in, but it would be good for them to study them, and have you quiz them on the words.

Today was the first day that your students rotated for Social Studies. On Wednesdays and Thursdays your students go to Mrs. Cech's room to study Social Studies while I teach Mrs. Cech's students Science in our room. I thought I would also share the class schedule with you so you know what your students are doing at the different times:

8:30-8:45 Morning Activities
8:45-9:30 Specials
9:30-10:15 Writing
10:15-10:30 Recess
10:30-11:30 Reading
11:30-12:15 Lunch
12:15-12:35 Read Aloud
12:35-12:50 Spelling/Word Work
12:50-2:00 Math
2:00-2:15 Recess
2:15-3:05 Science/Social Studies
3:05-3:20 Closure

Your students have Library on Mondays, Music on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and P.E. on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Early release is every Friday at 2:10.

We will begin doing buddies with 1st grade in the next few weeks, where we will spend 15-20 minutes, once a week, reading to younger students.
