Today we had an assembly at the end of the day about Bucket Fillers. Ask your students what this was all about. Ask them if they understood everything about the ideas. Ask them if they have filled anyone's bucket lately, and how full their bucket is. Essentially it is saying that everyone in the world carries around an imaginary bucket that is filled by other people. When people say nice things, encourage us, and praise us our bucket fills. When people say mean things, and hurt us they dip from our bucket. We want the kids at this school to focus on filling everyone's buckets.
In math today we worked on more with geometry. I introduced the words parallel and intersecting lines, rays, and line segments. The homework focuses on those concepts.
