Mondays get very busy for me as our specials is not until the end of the day and I do recess duty on Mondays. I forgot to get the spelling list out tonight. Here are the words, and a hard copy will come tomorrow

Bonus: Arachnophobia
Today we worked on comparison number stories. The students were given two quantities and asked to find the difference. The big idea is that difference means subtraction. They did well with the graphic organizer which you will see on the homework tonight.
Today we drew our crabs and worked on their food chain. Keeping in mind the concept that the sun is the start of the food chain, the source of energy.
This week we are really working on the writing process by writing a piece about "How to Eat an Oreo!" Today we ate a two Oreos, thinking about what they look, smell, taste, smell, and sound like as we eat them. Then we started our rough drafts on how we eat them. Tomorrow we will work on the process of editing and revising our work before we write a final draft.
In reading our focus is asking questions to help us better understand our text.
